This is a question to all of my watchers who are involved in the street art culture, or who know anything about protecting IP addresses.

Lately I've wanted to start a new account here on dA, as well as on some other sites, showcasing some of the street art that I've done but haven't felt comfortable with posting on this account. The one thing that has prevented me from doing this is the fear of the authorities being able to locate me through my IP address and possibly arresting me. I've done a little bit of research on this already, but I haven't really received many answers other than "Quit being a pussy" or "Cops have better things to do" neither of which are satisfactory. So this is my question to anyone here on dA who posts potentially illegal art on their pages:

*What do you use to protect your IP address, or do you do anything at all?*

I had thought about just going somewhere that offers free wifi, but wasn't sure if that would be enough. That and I wouldn't be able to update my account very often if I just did that.  I thought about using proxies but wasn't sure which kind would work the best. So if you have any information at all on this sort of thing, I would really appreciate the help.

I wanted to thank everyone again, especially :icontakethef: for the DD and all of the praise there after I received  for my Red Gyarados chalk street-art piece last Friday. I was out of town for the past couple of days and wasn't able to post this journal when I would have liked. I also want to thank all the new watchers I've gained in the past few days. I was going to do so individually, but I accidentally deleted the notification that had all the names on it, so thank you to all of the people who were on that list.

I really appreciate all of your wonderful comments and favs and I'll definitely be doing more pieces like this and post them for you all to enjoy. Cheers!

For the foreseeable future.

My tablet has a horrible case of the fritz and I won't be able to do anything art related on the computer until it either stops acting up or until I can get a new one.
It's a little frustrating that it started doing this just as I finally came up with some good fakemon designs that I was particularly proud of, some of which were for commissioned work.

I'm still going to be uploading some more of my traditional work, though it isn't going to be fakemon related. So, apologies to those of you who watch me just for the fakes.

Do you like the internet? Of course you do. You're using it right now. In fact, I'd be willing to bet that almost all of you use it on a daily basis. Well, that could all change in the months to come with the inception of two new bills being pushed through US legislation. These bills, know as the "Stop Online Piracy Act" (SOPA) and the "Protect IP Act" on the surface aim to stop just what their name suggests, online piracy. Now you might think preventing piracy is all well and good (unless you're a pirate), but the implications of these bills are just staggering. These bills would effectively enable large corporations to completely SHUTDOWN any site they deem to harbor pirate activity. That means that anyone posting a video on Youtube of a song or clip from a movie or television show could get all of Youtube censored from the American public. Anyone posting copyright material on a blog or social networking site like facebook could potentially have the entire site erase from public consciousness. Even the people who post copyrighted images here on deviantArt could get everyone in the US (and any other country that follows suit) banned from even viewing the plethora of the other wonderful pieces of original artwork that are uploaded to this site every minute. The terms of these bills are so broad that even my own Fakemon characters (despite being my own original designs) could be seen as copyright infringement for simply being labeled as "Pokemon" and for using information owned by Nintendo, such as the types and abilities. So, If you love the internet as much as I do, then I implore you to take a stand in putting an end to these bills. If you're an American citizen, please write to your representatives, signs petitions, and get the word out. And if you're not an American citizen, don't think you're powerless in this matter. You can still do your part by signing petitions and sounding the horn on these bills. I've posted a few links below for you to check out and send to everyone you know. I hope that you'll all join me in this fight for our basic freedoms of expression and against the oppression of censorship.
