School Paintings 02by ~TastyCarrots

Traditional Art / Paintings / Surreal

These are the other two paintings I did for my final assignment in my summer painting class. I was originally only going to do the top one, but decided to do the bottom one to keep with the selected theme.

I didn't use any street art media in these two aside from the signatures. I did, however, use sharpie to for the outlines and on the top painting I actually painted the subject on canvas paper and then cut it out and glued it onto the original canvas so it was slightly raised from the background. For the bottom one I did the opposite. I painted the subject onto the original canvas and painted the background onto canvas paper and then glued it on. This was a lot harder to do than the other way around. I'm surprised I was able to get it to look as good as it did.

I was just going for my general AA degree and took painting as an elective. But I'm hoping to go back in the fall and get at least a BS in illustration/fine art here at my local university.
